The AWN-XTENDA is our latest product to assist Ute owners with Fibreglass, ABS Plastic style canopies that aren't able to install a 270-degree awning due to the spacing of cross bars being too close together on the roof rails or roof extrusion tracks of the canopy.
Most cross/load bar spacings are maxed out 950mm due to the roof rails or extrusion tracks. The minimum requirement for most 270-degree awnings of 2.5m long is 1200mm. That's where the AWN-XTENDA comes into play, to give that required support! The awning mount brackets fixing points are extended out to approximately 1350mm making it ideal to support the awning.
The XTENDA rail will mount to your cross bars via two cross bar mounts that are compatible with (Rhino, Rola, Thule, Yakima, Front Runner and more). The cross bar mounts bolt to the multiple fixing slots on the XTENDA rail, the cross bar mounts then either gets fixed/bolted to the "T" slot channel like the Front Runner load bars or you can utilise Rhino U-bolts (Part # S280/RUBK/MUBK) for many other style cross bars mentioned.
